lyrics
Everything that exists
Is expanding out towards its limit
Exhausting all into a violent collapse
Multiplying the stillness
Until there’s only a vague memory of life
This death shall lustrate
That all hearts of the earth shall find new birth
In between darkness and light the heavens sing
All your doing is redefining
The scale of your failures
Suffering, great and long-enduring
Until the world is shattered
Scattered thoughts and massless ghost
Are all that will remain
Contained and bounded in this the world
To be within until it’s complete
This death shall lustrate
That all hearts of the earth shall find new birth
In between darkness and light the heavens sing
All your doing is redefining
The scale of your failures
Suffering, great and long-enduring
Until the world is shattered
And all the days of life are utterly forgotten

I had first heard of Spike Hellis through a friend. I was instantly hooked. I was fortunate enough to see them live last night here in Louisville,KY on 5/4/23. Funny enough, it was basically just a couple of weeks after I had been introduced to them. It made me so happy, and let me tell you, they are flawless live. I was blown away. If they come through your town, go and see them. deadinthescene

Putting Nightfall first on this is a hell of a start! A harsh, punishing track that goes right into a brutal beat and then feels right at home in the middle of everything. coldnecklace
A stellar cast of artists put their own shadowy spins on recent Bestial Mouths material—toward the goth club floor or into pure noise. Bandcamp New & Notable May 11, 2021

That devastating and frightening atmosphere is mesmerizing. Probably the only DWIFH album I fell in love with. Expiring Time, The Unclean, Threadbare, Downpour, At Rest - these all are my favorites. Val Levitsky
